Critical Path

I know that if I lower my body weight and percentage body fat, my cholesterol is lower, I sleep better, and am less prone to injury. I’ve also noticed that on the days that I exercise, I eat better. Something about having the recent experience of sweating it out encourages me to make better food choices.

My average daily suburban lifestyle is sedentary. I spend most of my work day behind a computer or in meetings. I will go from my home, to my car, to my office, back to my car, and back home again. Borrowing from project management speak, this is my daily critical path. Anything that isn’t on this critical path can be postponed, avoided, or be overcome by events.

Can you relate to this? Take a moment to write down your critical path. How do you spend most of your day?

Don’t just take my word for it:
